Plastic Bans 2023
The government has announced that as from the 1st of July 2023, some plastic packaging will be banned, this includes the following:

• Single use plastic produce bags *
• Plastic tableware, including: plates, bowls, platters, trays and cutlery * #
• Plastic drinking straws * **
• Non home compostable plastic produce labels

    * Including recyclable, degradable, or compostable plastics
    ** An exception is allowed for people with a disability or health condition, where plastic straws are a necessity for nutrition and independence, and social inclusion
    #  This applies to Tableware only and does not include plastic takeaway containers.
